I disagree with girlfriend in a coma. I think it isn't the same level of sad as others as the sad is mainly around the fact that the singer isn't sure of whether to be relieved or upset. It's like a free way out for Morrissey, and is more a jest about relationships and how society dictates we are meant to feel at certain points, and how morrissey disagrees, or is at least confused. At least that is what I get from it.
I would add to the list - Strange Fruit, Billy Holiday. That song is proper sad.
